Pseudomonas aeruginosa outer membrane: peptidoglycan-associated proteins.
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Pseudomonas aeruginosa outer membrane was isolated with attached peptidoglycan and fractionated with Triton X-100, ethylenediaminetetraacetate, and lysozyme. The data suggest that major outer membrane proteins F, H2, and I are noncovalently associated with the peptidoglycan.

Role of Pseudomonas aeruginosa peptidoglycan-associated outer membrane proteins in vesicle formation.
Gram-negative bacteria produce outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) that package and deliver proteins, small molecules, and DNA to prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The molecular details of OMV biogenesis have not been fully elucidated, but peptidoglycan-associated outer membrane proteins that tether the outer membrane to the underlying peptidoglycan have been shown to be critical for OMV formation i...
متن کاملMolecular and immunological characterization of OprL, the 18 kDa outer-membrane peptidoglycan-associated lipoprotein (PAL) of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Immunological screening of a Pseudomonas aeruginosa cosmid library led to the identification of clones producing an 18 kDa outer-membrane protein. This protein reacted in Western blots with a polyclonal antiserum against outer-membrane proteins of P. aeruginosa and with a monoclonal antibody (MA1-6) specific for OprL, the peptidoglycan-associated outer-membrane lipoprotein (PAL). Sequencing of ...
متن کاملRoles of the carboxy-terminal half of Pseudomonas aeruginosa major outer membrane protein OprF in cell shape, growth in low-osmolarity medium, and peptidoglycan association.
OprF, the major outer membrane protein of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, is multifunctional in that it can act as a nonspecific porin, plays a role in the maintenance of cell shape, and is required for growth in a low-osmolarity environment. The latter two structural roles of OprF, and OprF's association with the peptidoglycan, have been proposed to be localized in the carboxy terminus of the protein,...

Background: Multidrug resistance Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MDRPA) is most important issue in healthcare setting. It can secrete many virulence effector proteins via its secretion system type (T1SS-T6SS). They are using them as conductor for delivering the effector proteins outside to begins harmful effect on host cell increasing pathogenicity, competition against other microorganism and nutrient ...
